A Slope mulcher for the three-point hitch of a tractor is a special attachment that is used to Mowing, mulching and maintaining embankments, ditches, roadsides and hard-to-reach areas It is used via the three-point hitch (Category I, II or III – depending on the size of the tractor) attached to the rear or sometimes to the side of the tractor and usually via the Power take-off (PTO) driven.
Features of a slope mulcher:
- Side-pivoting and tilting:
The mulching head can be swivelled out sideways and the inclination can be adjusted (e.g. -60° to +90°), so that embankment-like areas or ditch bottoms can be edited easily. - Robust construction:
Designed for use in difficult terrain with grass, scrub, weeds or light woodland. - mulching:
Instead of collecting the grass clippings, they are directly cut up and distributed – this promotes soil fertility and saves work steps.
Advantages of a slope mulcher:
- Safe maintenance of roadsides, embankments and field edges
- Extended range by lateral boom arms (hydraulically adjustable depending on the model)
- time-savingbecause large areas can be mulched efficiently
- Better floor care by shredding and returning plant material
