The demands on an agricultural operation are becoming more and more diverse. Especially if you want to market your own products directly and don't want to go to the big packaging companies.
Thus, as an alternative to the industrially packaged goods, which is then offered unbeatably cheap in the large supermarkets, more and more often "product niches" where either a variety is cultivated and marketed directly, which just is not as suitable for industrial packaging (eg to pressure-sensitive or very loose-shelled potato varieties) but shines through excellent taste, or one markets "his" products through a complete traceable history on his own farm, which spreads the secure feeling just not to have "industrial goods" in the hands or the shopping basket and to know where and from whom the purchased goods originated.
Many own farm shops have such an ever-widening supply, which often ranges from self-grown cereals on potatoes, onions to wood pellets or wood chips.
However, this also increases the requirements for proper and professional weighing of the products. Potatoes want to be packaged in the same way as grain or wood pellets. Even more unusual products require a modern bagging scale that works quickly and accurately ... and of course can be calibrated by a nice, friendly official from the calibration office.
For example, the Neuhaus agricultural machinery packs a customer of the cherry pits to later fill them with warming cushions, bolsters or similar. Another customer uses the scale for animal feed mixes, one for charcoal bagging, and another for granulates that are used in a particular construction mix for bonding lightweight building blocks.
