Log mower ... a useful addition to pasture care

Who does not know that ... despite mulchers with side shift or mowing on the side boom, you do not get clean on problematic edges, under fences, along the masonry. Just areas with public access, but also well-attended equestrian facilities attach great importance to a top well-maintained terrain ... after all, this is a figurehead of the owner or operator.

As a bar mower can be a useful addition to the existing tractor with mower or mulcher.

A bar mower works a little differently than a conventional lawn mower. With the bar mower, the cutting blades attached to the “mower” bar cut the grass. Similar to a hedge trimmer, the triangular blades move quickly back and forth on the rigidly constructed cutter bar. This has advantages in rough terrain and long, damp grass. A bar mower is worthwhile if an area or a verge has to be mowed precisely and the grass is to be used as fodder.

Thanks to its two free-standing arms (similar to a wheelbarrow) and the profiled pneumatic tires, the bar mower is easy to handle and can therefore be guided very precisely on and under fences or along the masonry. Caution is advised with molehills .... the cutting tools don't like that at all and quickly become blunt. However, the bar mower shows its strengths in the case of verges that tend to arise along a fixed cutting edge and a tractor-guided mower or mulcher. The built-on combustion engine ensures a powerful pull, good and easily controllable feed through the driven wheels and very good cutting properties even with tall and moist grass.
